First the good: These headphone extension cable sound wonderful. I’ve used them to watch TV and play games on the computer. Sound quality is excellent, no complaints. The chord is also pretty long, around eight feet I’d guess…long enough to get from my TV to my bed. The overall construction is very high quality and they should last for a very long time. Sennheiser is a great company, and the quality of these headphones is excellent.

Now the bad: Like some others have mentioned, they aren’t the most comfortable headphones after an extended period of time. Here is why: The headphones are big enough to cover your ears…but they are not deep at all. What happens is the hard inside of the headphone (not the cushy padding surrounding it) ends up pressing on your ears. This is fine at first…but after about an hour it really starts to hurt.

I can think of two situations that might make this better. If you have very small ears they might fit inside and not hit the hard inside. If you have very large ears, the cushy padding might rest on your ears instead of around them…keeping the hard inside away from your ears. I’d consider my ears of normal size, and my above “ideas” are probably wishful thinking.

The only solution I’ve found is to wear a beanie during use. This provides a nice padding between my ear and the hard inside. Luckily it’s cold right now, but during the summer this doesn’t help much. Again, they sound great, but be wary of the comfort.

Every year in this side of the world we face something called as the summer season, a season where the weather becomes erratic, temperatures climb and there are frequent cases of power outages. This is one of the prime times when it is necessary for you to ensure that this weather does not harm your laptop or give rise to any snags. Given below are some helpful tips for using laptop in hot weather: -

Ideal Laptop Temperature

Almost all laptop computers function effectually in the ideal laptop temperature range of 10-95° Celsius or 50-95° Fahrenheit. Don’t forget, if you happen to use the laptop in the outdoors, hot air, it should cool down before it is used in the interior temperature. Likewise, if you are using the laptop indoors, make sure you warm up the laptop according to the temperature outside. Like other electronic appliances, laptops too could develop functional errors due to heat. In these circumstances using a laptop cooling pad, or a laptop cooling mat would help you to easily cool down the laptop whenever it heats up, or needs to be brought to a particular level.

Keeping the Laptop Cool

One of the many warm weather laptop use tips is to utilize an ergonomic laptop stand for dispersing the heat laptop generates. Portable cooling pad and laptop stands, keep you safe from laptop radiation and laptop heat from time to time, but also safeguard the laptop from heat. Using laptop cooling fans would be suggested if you happen to use the laptop indoors for long hours. Laptop cooling fans and certain laptop cooling pads help in stabilizing the heat and stopping it from spreading to your furniture or your legs for that matter.

Pack Your Laptop Wisely

It is suggested that you use well-padded laptop cases, which have been strategically designed to keep the laptop insulated from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. If you plan to buy laptop case or any other laptop accessory like a laptop backpack, or a laptop tote, beach bag, or notebook cooling pad, make sure the accessory is efficient to sustain the heat of the laptop and the outside temperature as well.

Using Laptop Outdoors

Never keep your laptop in direct contact with sunrays, may it be shut down or still in use. If you do plan to use your laptop one glaring sunny afternoon, in the outdoors, you should use a laptop hood for cutting down on the direct sunlight on the laptop screen. Or, you can also use a laptop shield that will act as a bullet proof laptop shield to protect the laptop screen from being damaged due to the harsh sunlight.

Bear in mind that apart from the laptop exterior and laptop screen, the internal laptop parts like the laptop hard drive also stand a chance of developing snags due to exposure to the sun. Using laptop accessories like notebook cooling pad, laptop cooling stand, laptop mat or laptop cooling fans is the ideal way of protecting laptop from heat. You wouldn’t want your laptop to shut down due to over heat. Hence, use Laptop accessories as they are best protection for laptops.

The innovative Fellowes PS-77Cs with Patent-Pending Safe Sense Technology features an active sensor that stops shredding immediately when paper entry is touched. Designed for moderate shredding in the home office, the Fellowes Powershred PS-77Cs delivers a high level of performance and features. This affordable, medium duty shredder reduces documents to higher security confetti particles and shreds up to 12 sheets per pass, 25-50 times per day, for a total daily capacity as high as 600 sheets. Equipped with a 9 inch wide front feed paper entry, the PS-77CS easily accepts standard letter or legal-size documents. The durable steel cutters accept credit cards, staples and small paper clips, also shreds CDS in a designated slot safely. Quiet operation is perfect for use in office cubicles. Electronic auto start/stop feature ensures quick & easy automatic shredder operation. Shredder automatically shuts off and alerts operator when a jam occurs, 7-gallon pullout wastebasket is ajar or shredder is overheated. Clear window allows user to see if 7-gallon wastebasket is full. Convenient sheet capacity gauge helps prevent paper jams.

Powerful and quiet
I got this to replace an 8-sheet shredder that I accidentally overstuffed and was irreparably jammed. The pieces are a bit larger than my old one which was a cross cutter, and they are straight strips so some info can still be seen. All I do is fold 6 sheets in half and put it in at an angle which takes care of that very well, this works great with envelopes of paper because you can just feed them in pretty continuously at an angle. It is amazingly powerful, you can hear it just chewing away without problem, and it is also incredibly quiet for its strength. Highly recommended.

This shredded was everthing you said it would be. It will shred up to ten pages. so pleased with product and price.

Fellowes 32177 Powershred PS-77Cs Shredder

This shredder quietly shreds everything you feed it into confetti sized bits. It’s the perfect size for a home office and it looks great too.

Terrible product. It did not work out of the box. Something was wrong with the plug so it would not function. The only positive thing to say is that Amazon paid for the return shipping and refunded my account.

Very good product
My 32057 Powershred was poorly packaged by the Amazon Marketplace vendor and took a few bruises in transit, but still it works well. Keep an eye on the volume in the waste basket because it fills up quickly, and when that happens, it clogs and stalls until you manually clear it or put it in reverse. Overall, I’m very pleased with the power and efficiency, though I must admit to being careful not to put too much stress on it at one pass. I’ve read enough reviews on shredders to know that its best to be patient with the workload, lest you kill the machine prematurely.

good capacity, works great
I even let my 6 year old shred what needs to be shredded. She is happy as a clam, and I know her little fingers are safe with the safety function, and she loves the shreds. It works great, even when you have a few sheets together. Maybe 6 are a bit too much, but 3 is just fine.

Expensive rice cooker but you get what you paid for! It cooks perfectly. I’ve never liked brown rice before, but this cooker makes it taste great. It’s easy to clean as well, because it does not boil over, unlike other switch type rice cookers we’ve had. Since we eat rice almost every day, I regret not buying it sooner! We use it for white rice, brown rice, and porridge, and they all come out just right.

Great rice cooker!
This rice cooker is so easy to use. I did discover that brown basmatti rice, which we use almost exclusively, needs to be cooked with the semi-brown rice setting and on that setting it comes out perfectly every time. You can set the timer for the rice to be ready at a particular time and the cooker starts at the right time to get it done on time. It does take longer than my old rice cooker, but the timer compensates for that. It takes 1 hour to cook brown basmatti rice, and my old cooker took 45 minutes. I have no idea how long white rice takes, because we rarely eat it. I would definitely purchase this rice cooker again if I had it to do over.

One of the Best Kitchen Appliances Ever!
I buy a lot from Amazon, but I don’t write a lot of reviews. This rice cooker, however, is amazing. I got it overnight, just unpacked it, and made delicious, chewy, creamy, nutty steel cut oats in about an hour. Use 1 rice cooker cup of McCann’s oats, 3 rice cooker cups of water, select the porridge setting, and come back in about an hour. Stir in the juice that rises to the top and enjoy. Brown rice pudding is next. I have to get up really early some days, and I can’t wait to pre-program in a hot breakfast. Think of it as a slow cooker for people with a sense of urgency!

The ZCC10 is extremely well made and easy to clean. I also recommend the Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook by Hensperger and Kaufmann, which has lots of good ideas for rice and more.

So far, the only thing I can see to look out for is to make sure that you measure consistently. Use the 180 ml rice cooker cups for the grain and the water, or use larger kitchen cups for the grain and the water to get the right ratio. Also, the unit comes with a nubby plastic spatula/scraper thingy that won’t mar the nonstick finish of the bowl. Cleaning is a breeze with cold water and a microfiber cloth.

It’s a little pricey, but well worth it because it has just about every setting you’ll need to make more than just plan rice.

Here’s the cookbook link: The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook : 250 No-Fail Recipes for Pilafs, Risottos, Polenta, Chilis, Soups, Porridges, Puddings and More, from Start to Finish in Your Rice Cooker

From Belkin Components

What is a Category 5e patch cable? Think of it as the street that links the houses on your block and all the destinations in town. This cable is used to connect all the hardware destinations on a Local Area Network (LAN). The RJ45 Molded Cat 5e Patch Cable is perfect for use with 10/100 Base-T networks. Complete with RJ45 male-to-male connectors and snagless molded strain relief. PRODUCT FEATURES: Perfect in conjunction with 10 and 100 Base-T; 50 micron gold plated connectors to ensure a clean and clear transmission; Premium snagless-type molding to protect the connection; Exceeds the performance requirement of Category 5e.

Just OK. Works. Not Snagless! Get “Snagless Boot” Type!
Works fine. Inexpensive. But it is NOT snagless.
It can snag easily if not careful.
It has some protection from snags.
I prefer the “Snagless Boot” type of cable, with rubber boot to protect cable. Linksys cable, or cables sold by Ultra Spec on Amazon is better choice. Get “Snagless Boot” design!

Reliable Belkin
Use this to connect from my wall to my router. The long cord is very convenient and I have not found any degradation in speed. Would recommend.

Does the job
I purchased this cable becuase I need the 25′ length to connect a laptop in the same office as my desktop. It works well and is a good value. I got it on Amazon for $10 less than at BB.
